Virginia Plain

An interesting choice of question. I would have asked, "Which band's debut single was entitled Virginia Plain?"

All sources (e.g. Lyrics Freak) seem to agree that the lyric is actually "What's her name, Virginia Plain". (I always thought it sounded like "What's your name ... ". Must be Bryan Ferry's Geordie accent ... )

I know of only one other song whose title is mentioned once only in the lyric, and that at the very end; it's Up the Junction, by Squeeze. (I remember a Danny Baker phone–in on this subject, probably in the 1990s, but I can't remember if they managed to find any others.)
